We rely on the kindness of our local community.

Fostering Wishes Foundation is dedicated to improving the mental and physical health of children and youth in foster care by providing wish list, birthday and holiday gifts to kids who would otherwise go without.

Foster families aren’t required to purchase anything beyond food.

All donations support kids in Delaware. Every dollar and every item goes to a child in care — we’re an all-volunteer organization.

When kids can participate in the same activities as their peers, they have the opportunity to make friends, become a part of their community and build strong habits.

How you can help

  • Give a cash donation

    The fastest way to help. Cash lets us buy exactly what a child asked for — in the right size, in the right color, at the right moment.

  • Shop a wish list

    Pick an item from our Amazon or Walmart lists and ship it straight to us. We handle delivery to the child.

    If your group or organization would like to collect donations or volunteer at one of our donation collection events, we would love to hear from you.

Groups & businesses

Bring your people along

Girl Scout troops, offices, clubs, sports teams and stores have all run collections for us — books and greeting cards, stuffed animals, pajamas, socks, grooming kits. If you have a group, we can help you turn it into a drive.
